Leighton Linning is an attorney and with Dunn Law Firm. His practice focuses on entertainment law, business law, family law, employment and civil litigation.
Linning was extensive experience in the Nashville music industry, working on a variety of high profile projects including: CMT Crossroads, CMT Awards, CMA Awards, Musicians' Hall of Fame Awards, K-Love Fan Awards, and the Nashville Star. He works with several independent labels providing contract review, particularly as it relates to artists rights and licensing.
Linning is a graduate of BYU - Idaho; and studied jazz guitar at Belmont University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies. He studied jazz guitar under John Pell. During his undergraduate studies, Linning received the Developing as a Leader Certificate from Harvard's Business College.
Leighton earned his law degree from the Nashville School of Law, where he founded the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, earned the prestigious moot court award (top litigator), and graduated in the top ten of his class.
Linning is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, Federal Court (Middle District of Tennessee) and is an active member of SOLID, YEP, and AMA CMA Blues Association.
